Celebrating Volunteering Together our Volunteer Story Competition
As part of National Volunteer Week 2020, we wanted to celebrate Kāpiti volunteer stories and experiences. To celebrate the theme ‘the benefit of working together’ we asked Kāpiti groups to share with us stories of how their volunteer teams have worked together or collaboratively with another group. We have 10 fantastic stories to share with you below. The winner (randomly drawn – how can you judge Mahi Aroha?) will receive a $300 Cafe voucher to celebrate with their Volunteer team.
ABOUT National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week celebrates the collective contribution of over 1 million volunteers who enrich Aotearoa, New Zealand.
National Volunteer Week 2020 runs from June 21-27. This year’s theme is ‘Te Hua o te Mahi Tahi I The benefit of working together’.
The power and potential of volunteering, Mahi Aroha and social action shines through at times when our communities are stretched and challenged. New Zealand’s COVID-19 response has highlighted courage and kindness in uniting together.
Join us this National Volunteer Week to celebrate how our communities are stronger when working together. Volunteers help shape the world we want to live in, now and into the future!
